Sound Healing may be considered new age wellness but it is hardly a new form of therapy, and has been used as a healing modality for centuries. Sound has been used as a healing catalyst throughout history and across cultures. The ancient Greeks used music to cure mental disorders, but throughout the ages sound has been used to heal the physical body as well as the mental and emotional states. That’s because we humans have a natural instinct for sound therapy. Just think how your favourite song can lift your mood!
Sound treatment is a therapeutic field that has gained much attention from modern medicine and scientists due to the positive and effective application. We are vibrational beings and healing occurs through sound, vibration and frequency.
Sound healing synchronizes brain waves to achieve profound states of deep relaxation, helping to restore the normal vibrational frequencies of the cells in our bodies. It can help you clear energetic blockages and thus facilitate healing on a physical and mental level.

Sound healing has been used to treat many conditions including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, and dementia.
My own personal journey with chronic pain, debilitating anxiety and depression led me to sound healing several years ago, and it impacted my life so much that it ignited a passion in me to go deeper into studying and training in this field. I knew I wanted to help others benefit as I had done from sound healing, and now focus on Sound Journeys and Tibetan Medicine Sound Bowl treatments.
This treatment is a deeply relaxing and healing massage of sound, using uniquely hand-crafted Tibetan style Sound Bowls that are placed on the body to deliver their vibrational medicine. The healing sounds of the Gong are also incorporated.
These particular bowls are not singing bowls that you may be familiar with, but are hand-crafted by an amazingly talented Balinese priest who chants mantra into them whilst beating and shaping by hand and once created, the bowls are blessed. Each bowl is different and unique, with its own character specific to a particular chakra. They are designed to be placed on the body on specific chakra regions and when struck by a felt mallet they deliver a deep vibration and resonance. The power of the Gong is also incorporated in this treatment. The healing sound vibration will gently flow into the body, affecting the structure and health of cells and organs. This sound massage has an immediate beneficial effect as it brings the vibrating cells back to a natural harmonious state.
Being bathed in the harmonious sounds, vibrations and rich overtones takes you into a deep state of relaxation and recovery, where you may gain clarity and enhanced creativity. The healing process throughout the treatment includes balancing, diagnosing and enhancing the chakras. The treatment has shown a remarkable and swift improvement in many cases with physical or mental and emotional pain. Pain melts away and the recipient feels that emotional heaviness caused by stress, anxiety or depression is lifted, resulting in a feeling of pleasant lightness. The energy body, the aura, is cleared and refreshed. The sound treatment is complemented with essential oils and chakra specific mini-breathwork tips to help with integration.
This session is typically 75-90 minutes’ duration.
Please wear comfortable clothes for the treatment, and avoid eating within an hour before the session.
Sound Journeys are sound meditations that use an array of many instruments including gongs, tibetan and crystal bowls, flute, and drums to take you on an immersive journey where you will experience deep relaxation, inner peace and harmony.
Our Sound Journeys are held in beautiful venues that are carefully selected to enhance your experience.
Reiki is a relaxing Japanese healing and balancing modality where universal life force energy is transferred from the palm of the practitioner into the client to restore physical, mental and emotional balance. Reiki energy is not the practitioner’s energy, it’s a universal life force.
Reiki Sessions are 1 hour long.
It is preferable you commit to three successive sessions and a 3 session package is available.
We have been practising breathwork for thousands of years, and it has roots in the ancient yogic practice of Pranayama. Today, there are a multitude of different techniques, each with their own unique patterns and benefits.
Breathwork is a natural remedy for stress and anxiety. It immediately brings a greater sense of clarity, connection and calm, as well as increasing your self-awareness, love, and compassion. Breathwork can be incorporated easily into your daily routine, improving your capacity to thrive and flourish in your daily life.
Studies have shown breathwork can help reduce symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, and ADD to name a few. However, it is not just the biological and physiological impact that’s powerful, breathwork is also the quickest way to change our state of being and point of view at any moment. Adopting a regular practice connects us with our innate wisdom and brings greater awareness to self and the decisions we make, which leads to overall well-being and happiness. We can easily create harmony and peace in our life by doing correctly what comes most naturally to us – breathing.
Our brain uses 20-25% of our oxygen supply as nourishment. But in today’s world with pollution, air-conditioned environments, less exercise, more stress, we are just not getting what we need. Breathwork provides an opportunity to nourish our brain and internal organs, and allow emotional blockages and locked in trauma to surface and be released so that we can thrive.
When we are physically or emotionally stressed, it affects how we breathe, our breath becomes fast and shallow which limits the oxygen entering our bloodstream. Our brain tells our body that there is a threat, and the body responds in fight or flight mode.
The simple practice of mindful and conscious breathing has a positive impact on our nervous system, and helps calm our stress and restore our body and mind back into balance.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is an active meditation that uses deep rhythmic breathing to increase the oxygen flow into the body, resulting in a heightened state that enables the unblocking of stuck energy and deep-seated emotion, the release of which can elevate us to deeper levels of clarity and awareness.
Any Active or Conscious Connected Breathwork requires focus and it can take time to master the breathing patterns. It can be a deeply transformational process and so if you are new to Conscious Connected Breathwork, it is important to work with an experienced guide to help you until you are familiar with the process.
A typical private in-person breathwork session begins with us having a confidential discussion to understand where you are feeling stuck or carrying blocks, and what you would like to clear and let go of limiting beliefs, or what you are hoping to achieve specifically out of the session. We will discuss breathwork techniques that you will use in this session, and then I will guide you through your breathwork journey. In the session, in order to complement the breath, I incorporate the use of verbal guidance, touch, essential oils, I may also intuitively bring in the drum, gong or other instruments to facilitate your healing journey. The session also includes a mini Sound Healing using Tibetan Medicine Bowls to add to the deep state of relaxation and integration at the end of the active breathing section.
We will close the session with another chat to discuss what may have come up or shifted as a result of the breathwork, and some tips on integration immediately after the session.

Private In-Person Sessions are 90 minutes duration.

A typical private virtual breathwork session begins with us having a confidential conversation to understand where you are at and what you are hoping to achieve specifically out of the session. We discuss where you’re feeling stuck, or carrying blocks, what you would like to clear and let go of. We will discuss breathwork techniques that you will use in this session, and then I will guide you through your breathwork journey.
We will close the session with another chat to discuss what may have come up or shifted as a result of the breathwork, and some tips on integration immediately after the session.
Virtual Breathwork session are delivered via Zoom and are 75 minutes long.
You will also receive a follow-up call or email from me the next day. I am also available by email if you require additional support.
If you are new to remote sessions in this way, there is nothing to worry about and I will send you an email ahead of our session to help you get set up.
